Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz President Personally Campaigns for Terry McAuliffe

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe strongly supports abortion — saying he will not compromise on promoting it as governor and pledging to resist even limits on late-term abortions. Those extreme positions are good enough for the Planned Parenthood abortion business to support McAuliffe.

Putting the endorsement into action, Planned Parenthood Action Fund president Cecile Richards campaigned in Charlottesville to get abortion activists to turn out to vote for McAuliffe.

“McAuliffe is a strong supporter of women’s rights and women’s healthcare, while Republican candidate Ken Cuccinelli has been trying to get rid of Planned Parenthood,” Richards stated.  “The record of Ken Cuccinelli is the most extreme of any attorney general I can think of in the country.”

A big part of both campaigns in the last days before the election is to drum up enough enthusiasm to get supporters to the ballot box. Richards is part of that effort for the Democrats.  Her message resonates with Jane Lawson from Charlottesville.

Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s campaign had this response Saturday:

“It’s no surprise that Planned Parenthood is spending money to smear Ken Cuccinelli’s long record of protecting women. Terry McAuliffe has no plan for Virginia, no experience in governing.”

McAuliffe holds an extreme position on abortion — so extreme that he told students at George Mason University that he will oppose any efforts to place limits even on late-term abortions done when the unborn baby is viable.

Although McAuliffe is trying to portray himself as a moderate, when students got him off his talking points his radical position supporting even the kind of abortions kermit Gosnell did late in pregnancy became clear. As the transcript an video below show, McAuliffe pledged to be a “brick wall” on the issue of abortion, even refusing to support a common sense limit on abortions after the fifth to sixth month of pregnancy.

McAuliffe opposes parental consent laws, opposes 24-hour waiting periods, opposes bans on late-term abortions (when the baby in the womb can feel pain), opposes requiring non-invasive ultra-sounds before an abortion and opposes the ban on partial-birth abortion.  Most Virginians support these common-sense restrictions.
