Racy “Got Insurance?” Campaign Says: “Let’s Hope He’s as Easy as This Free Birth Control”

A new racy campaign called “Got Insurance” was released today with advertisements that are intended to tout the free birth control component of the Obamacare health care plan. The ads are bathed in sexual overtones, with one ad having a woman declare: “Let’s Hope He’s as Easy as This Free Birth Control.”

Another ad has a young woman hoping to score with popular actor Ryan Gosling now that she has her own free birth control.

But conservatives on Twitter were quick to bash the campaign and the absurdity of offering free birth control in exchange for increasing health insurance premiums on most Americans or canceling their insurance.

Some of those responses appear below:

You’re going to pay $500 more a month in health insurance for “free” birth control. But you live in the reality based community. #gotit

So, those “bro-surance” and now “ho?surance” ads are an elaborate anti-ObamaCare campaign, right?

The #ThanksObamacare campaign seems mostly interested in getting really stupid people to buy really expensive insurance

Sure, ladies, you may be paying $2,000 more a year in premiums, but remember the *free* birth control! https://t.co/oJFDelT32t

Everyone involved in this ad campaign should be fired. The developer, the copywriter, the photographer, everyone. http://t.co/FVkjVptubw

If I was out with a girl and she started brandishing her birth control in front of me, I would go to the bathroom and pull the fire alarm.

The next round of brosurance ads should just say; “F*** you, pay me.”

— Daniel Foster (@DanFosterType) November 12, 2013

Brosurance: “Let’s drink!” Lady-brosurance: “I can get laid!” Does this make anyone else uncomfortable?
