Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I was wondering if you could post a prayer request on your blog for the repose of the soul of my next door neighbor, who passed away this Monday at the age of 90. His funeral was today, and he was a veteran and a former police officer, as well as an all-around good guy. He was Catholic and his funeral was at the local parish.

May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace through Christ our Lord.  Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.
