Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I apologize in advance for imposing on you.  I know you are busy and must receive so many prayer requests daily.  I implore on you behalf of this family to please spread the word about baby Cecilia, we at this point hoping for a miracle.  I know your blog gets so much foot traffic from so many prayerful people, if we can just flood Heaven with prayers I am confident He will hear them.

I am the godmother to a precious and beautiful one month old baby, Cecilia.  Cecilia has a Rhabdoid tumor which is an aggressive, fast moving, and malignant tumor which is located in her abdomen. The doctors originally thought it might be a neuroblastoma but it is not. This particular cancer is so rare, one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country only sees about 2 cases a year.  The family also has received some good news in the midst of this devastating news. Cecilia had a brain MRI, a bone scan, and a chest CT scan to see if the cancer had spread and it has not!! We are thanking God for this incredibly great news. That said there is still a long battle ahead. The parents are talking to the oncology team about what chemo protocol to start and when.

Please pray for this family that they have the strength to endure whatever is to come. The family has complete trust in God and have so much hope.  Please also pray for Cecilia’s three older siblings as well as her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends and family members. Thank you so much and God bless!

Father, hear our prayer for Cecilia’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.  Give her caregivers grace, wisdom, knowledge, counsel, skill, understanding and the proper technology to treat her effectvely and cooperate with your work of healing.  Give your grace, mercy, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope and love to her and all who love her. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for her.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
