St. Louis missionaries help bring joy of the Gospel

In 2013, Archbishop Robert J. Carlson and Archbishop Edmundo Abastoflor Montero of La Paz celebrated Mass inside a chapel in the Maria Reina Parish of the archdiocesan mission in Bolivia. The chapel is called Christo Rey (Christ the King) and serves one of the 14 neighborhoods of the Maria Reina Parish boundary.

Building vocations in Bolivia is a goal for St. Louis priests serving in the Latin America Apostolate and the efforts persist, according to Father James Michler, who joined the apostolate in 1991 and serves as senior associate pastor of Maria Reina Parish in La Paz.
