Archbishop of Krakow: Our city has been ‘defaced’ by stag parties

The Archbishop of Krakow has said that the ancient Polish city has been “defaced by debauchery and drunkeness” due to the influx of foreign stag parties.

In a letter to his congregations, Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz said: “Let’s look at the facts: the city is now full of nightclubs where the body, particularly of that of a woman, is used in a way that can be called profane. Every evening and every night thousands of advertisements are distributed urging people, especially the young, to take advantage of their offer.”

The archbishop added: “We can’t be passive, and have to make a great effort to defend the dignity of the human body, conjugal love and the formation of a young person’s conscience.”

He went on to urge the faithful to pray for a resolution.
