South Africa March for Life on Parliament Will Mourn 18th Anniversary of Abortion
On 1 February 1997 abortion-on-demand was legalised in South Africa. By 1 February 2015 an estimated one million, two hundred thousand (1 200 000) babies in South Africa will have lost their lives through abortion – legally – with tax-payers’ money.
March for Life
The 18th anniversary of the legalisation of abortion-on-demand in South Africa comes in the wake of the 10th annual March for Life in Paris, France (25 January) to remember the thousands of lives lost in abortion. Remarkably, over 45,000 people attended the March, and the archbishop of Paris, Cardinal Barberin, came out to march and pray with the other attendees. In Washington DC USA, despite freezing weather, over 500,000, mostly young pro-lifers, took part in the annual March for Life on 22 January.
National Day of Repentance
Cape Town: Monday, 2 February 2015, a funeral procession will be hosted by the Christian Action Network in memory of the thousands of babies, killed by abortion, who have never had a funeral.
March to Parliament
The procession to Parliament will start at 12:30 from Keizersgracht Street parking lot (below CPUT, near wall painting of African woman and her baby) and march down Darling Street into Buitenkant Street to Parliament (entrance in Roeland St), where a Prayer Rally (13:00) will be held in memory of the innocent victims of the abortion holocaust. Africa Christian Action has been conducting Life Chains in South Africa every year since 1991 and Marches for Life to Parliament every year since 1997.

Life vs Abortion: Women available for interviews
Women who have had an abortion, and can testify to the devastating after-effects, are available for media interviews. A woman whose mother tried to abort her and her twin sister is also available for interviews.
Obituaries for Aborted Babies
Obituary notices will be placed in the Cape Argus and in Die Burger newspapers in memory of all babies killed by abortion since 1997.
Sanctity Life Sunday
Throughout the country many church congregations and concerned individuals observed 25 January as Sanctity Life Sunday. They reflected on the sad reality of abortion and proclaimed the sanctity of human life. Other congregations are observing 1 February as Sanctity Life Sunday.
A pro-life demonstration and prayer rally will take place this weekend in Bloemfontein. The National March for Life will take place in Durban on Sunday, 4 October 2015.
