Pure Flix Releases Compelling Faith Film ‘Do You Believe?’

Pure Flix, the studio behind 2014’s No. 1 Indie Faith Film God’s Not Dead, will release one of this year’s most provocative films, Do You Believe? in theaters nationwide on March 20, 2015. The film asks the question every person must answer in his or her lifetime: “Do you believe?” prompting audiences to boldly examine and unapologetically share their faith.

Do You Believe? features an ensemble cast, which includes Academy Award® winner Mira Sorvino, Golden Globe® winner Cybill Shepherd, SAG Awards® winner Sean Astin, Alexa PenaVega, Ted McGinley, Brian Bosworth, Andrea Logan White, Delroy Lindo, Madison Pettis and Lee Majors.

Do You Believe? partners the same creative team from God’s Not Dead, which includes producers Michael Scott, David A.R. White, Russell Wolfe, and Elizabeth Travis, and the writing team of Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon.

Do You Believe? exposes a dozen souls all moving in different directions, longing for something more. As their lives unexpectedly intersect in catastrophic ways, they each have the opportunity to believe in the power of the cross of Christ … but what will they do with it?

A woman and her young daughter cope with being homeless, a pastor and his wife live with infertility, an older couple struggles to move past the death of their daughter from long ago, a soldier suffers with PTSD, and a pregnant teen runaway and an arrogant physician are all searching for hope. Audiences will experience the struggles and transformations of these lives as they encounter the redemptive power of the cross.

“The massive success of God’s Not Dead proved that audiences want to rally together with their friends and family to see movies that will edify them on compelling issues,” says producer and founding partner of Pure Flix, David A.R. White. “With Do You Believe?,  we wanted to create an action-drama film whose message will encourage, but at the same time, convict audiences concerning one of the most critical faith questions they will ever be asked.”

Within a culture where Christians are labeled as intolerant and many have abandoned their faith, comes a film that reminds believers of the price paid for their salvation, and what is required to live as a true disciple who stands firm on their faith.

A soundtrack will accompany the release featuring the hit single “We Believe” by award-winning recording artists The Newsboys. Consumer products affiliated with the film include a novelization from Howard Books, a 40-day devotional from BroadStreet Publishing, church study guides from Outreach Publishing, and merchandising featuring wooden crosses, travel mugs and T-shirts from Send The Light Distribution.
