Prayer Requests

Marcel Lejeune writes:

An Aggie Catholic is in critical condition after a wreck and not expected to live. Please stop whatever you are doing and say a prayer. Thanks.

Father, hear our prayer for this person’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit or, if that is not your will, that they be granted the grace of a happy death or to bear such sufferings in union with Christ as you will.  Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I would like to ask for prayers for a friend – she had a knee replacement about two months ago – a staph infection developed at eh site, and became a blood infection which caused heart issues and and abscesses an her spinal cord.  She is having surgery on her knee today, to replace the knee replacement with a temporary knee that is “loaded” with antibiotics.  WHile this is happening they will be draining the abscesses.  Seems complicated and dicey for to me.

Also we are having a event to help her defray medical expenses this Sunday – please offer a prayer for people to come to the local tavern hungry and thirsty as 50% of the food and bar receipts are for our friend.  She is one of the first to work on all events like this and is somewhat embarrassed by folks coming together for her.  Thanks.

Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.  Give her caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, skill, creativity, insight, and the proper technology to assist in that healing.  Give her and all who love her grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love.  Give them generous hearts and big appetites and help them to raise a huge pile of money for her.  Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen!
