WCC Says No To Federal Funding!

No more federal aid! Check out the video. The president of Wyoming Catholic College clearly articulates the Catholic position on SSA and the difficulty of accepting every cultural contradiction when you are bound to federal funding. It is in my opinion a "feel good" story.Two points:First, this man has genuine fortitude. The virtue of fortitude does not mean that you have no fear. It means that you face your fears in the courage of Christ. You recognize that your position may be unpopular, you may lose money, you may even be persecuted for your position, however, you trust in Christ and your fidelity and faith in Him, is the source of your strength. You choose what ought to be done in the face of difficulty, because it is GOOD, TRUE, and BEAUTIFUL.Second, I have said for years, the Church will not get healthy, until it separates itself from political institutions. I am not saying that it stops participating in the political process, I am saying that it must become Catholic again. Not republican, not libertarian, not democrat, CATHOLIC. To many Churchmen in too many places have lost their fortitude, because, they are playing the political game. Until those days come to an end the Church will continue to flounder.Look at the FSSP, a traditional order that subordinates the political philosophies of men to the higher things. Divine revelation must inform politics if it does not we will continue to reap what we sew.Pray the Rosary Daily!Be Holy, Not Worldly!Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on Us!
