How Bad is Planned Parenthood’s Selling Aborted Babies? This Democrat Calls it “Extremely Troubling”

In 2001, Tim Kaine told the Washington Post that he opposed all abortion restrictions, even efforts to require a parent’s consent prior to an abortion. Kaine later became the Governor of Virginia, served as the 51st chairman of the Democratic National Committee and is now the state Senator.

However, Kaine’s pro-abortion views haven’t stopped him from commenting on Planned Parenthood’s shocking videos showing their top executives discussing the sale of body parts from aborted babies. In an interview with radio host John Fredericks he said the videos are “very troubling” and “ought to be looked at.”

To be fair, Sen. Kaine did mention that the videos should be viewed with caution since a pro-life group released them. He said, “This is the kind of thing that is extremely troubling. The only cautionary note that I would throw into the mix here, is that there has been some prehistory of people going into Planned Parenthood offices, and taping interchanges, and then editing them favorably to make a point.”

He added, “But certainly, kind of a discussion about sale of fetal tissue issue in that way post-abortion would be highly troubling and it ought to be looked at.”

Although his comments didn’t denounce the abortion giant altogether, they were certainly better than pro-abortion Hillary Clinton’s response. After the videos were released, she said, “I don’t have all the facts but Planned Parenthood has apologized for the insensitivity of the employee who was taped and they will continue to answer questions for congress and others, but for more than a century Planned Parenthood has provided essential services for women,” Clinton said. “Not just reproductive health services, including access to affordable family planning, but cancer screenings, for example and other health checkup.”

She added that Planned Parenthood’s been persecuted for their stand for abortion and the videos are just another attack on a woman’s right to choose. She said, “I think it is unfortunate that Planned Parenthood had been the object of such a concerted attacks for so many years and it’s really an attack against women’s rights to choose, to make the most personal, difficult decisions that any women would face based on her faith and her medical advice that she is given. So I am hoping that this situation will not further undermine the very important services that Planned Parenthood provides.”

Regardless of how politicians view abortion, the videos, at the very least, should cause Planned Parenthood supporters to pause and reconsider their support. As LifeNews previously reported, in the first video Planned Parenthood’s medical director explains that Planned Parenthood sometimes alters their abortion procedures to ensure high-quality “specimen” for organ harvesting. Dr. Nucatola said, “You’re just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that, you know, we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

Then, in a second video, Mary Gatter, the Medical Director at Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley in California, haggles over the price of aborted baby body parts with undercover officials from the Center for Medical Progress. Gatter is a senior official within Planned Parenthood and is President of the Medical Directors’ Council, the central committee of all Planned Parenthood affiliate medical directors.

Although initially Gatter says she’s not in it for the money, later she tries to bump up the price for fetal body parts. She says, “Let me just figure out what others are getting, and if this is in the ballpark, then it’s fine, if it’s still low, then we can bump it up. I want a Lamborghini.”
