Question of the Week: Catholic Podcasts

Question of the Week at CatholicMom.com

Do you listen to podcasts?

I subscribe to a few podcasts, and cue them up when I’m washing dishes, walking for exercise, folding laundry or chopping vegetables for dinner. I like the flexibility of listening to a show when and where I want; radio shows are not always convenient, so I tend to seek out shows that are available as podcasts as well. This way, if I have to miss part of a favorite program, I can catch the whole thing later.

I even figured out how to listen to podcasts in my car, so if my son’s soccer games have me heading halfway across the county in the afternoon, I’ll listen to a podcast instead of playing radio roulette.

Here are some of my favorites:

  • Among Women with Pat Gohn–her archive is over 200 episodes deep and covers a wide variety of topics. Each show includes inspiration from a saint as well as a guest interview.
  • A Seeking Heart with Allison Gingras–this is actually a radio show on Breadbox Media, but I catch it on the podcast. Allison calls it an on-air book club, but there’s more to the fun and plenty of faith shared.
  • Girlfriends with Danielle Bean–a relatively new podcast that features family stories, life tips and fun interviews with Catholic women.
  • Adventures in Imperfect Living with Greg and Jennifer Willits–a husband-and-wife team recording every Sunday night.

What are your favorite Catholic podcasts? What do you like about these particular shows?
