Matt's Report Card: Clinton and Warren Rally at Saint Anselm, Lawsuit Against Catholic School Moves Forward

Abortion and same-sex marriage champions Clinton and Warren rally on Catholic college campusDemocratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren — both radically opposed to fundamental moral teachings of the Church — rallied with a slew of other Democrat politicians on the campus of Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire on Monday.The website of Saint Anselm College promoted the “NH Democratic Party Rally” with a disclaimer that the college is not sponsoring the event, it’s only allowing the rally to be held on campus and advertising it on the school’s website. There was no indication given on the site about how this event furthered the Catholic mission of the college, or how the rally of those who clearly hold positions against Church teaching was aligned with the college’s Catholic identity.Saint Anselm also hosted Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on campus in June. Judge allows lawsuit against NJ Catholic school to move forwardA New Jersey Superior Court judge denied a request by Paramus Catholic High School and the Archdiocese of Newark to throw out a lawsuit that was filed by a former employee who was fired after pictures from her same-sex marriage were posted on Facebook.The attorney for the school and the archdiocese argued that as a religious entity it is exempt from discrimination laws and that the former employee had signed a document agreeing to abide by the tenets of the Catholic religion as a term of her employment.Pray that the school and the archdiocese continue fighting for their Catholic identity and religious freedom, because not all schools are.
