The Christmas Anticipation Prayer

Beginning on the feast day of Saint Andrew the Apostle, November 30th, the following prayer is traditionally recited fifteen times a day until Christmas. This meditative petition helps us to increase our awareness of the real focus of Christmas and to prepare ourselves spiritually for Christ's coming in glory.Hail and blessed be the hour and momentIn which the Son of God was bornOf the most pure Virgin Mary,at midnight,in Bethlehem,in the piercing cold.In that hour vouchsafe, O my God,to hear my prayer and grant my desires,[here mention your request]through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ,and of His blessed Mother.
