Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Margaret Brewer Active Catholic and First General Officer of the Marines Has Died

The Catholic Herald up in Arlington Va  had a interesting obit on Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Margaret Brewer. ,She was  became  brigadier general in 1978 and she was first female general officer in Marine Corps history.See  Retired Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Margaret Brewer dies which also talks about her service to the Church.On a military historical note I found this interesting transcript of an interview of her done by the Marines that talks about her career. It's a pretty interesting read as to evolution of women in the military.
