Pope Francis accepted the resignation of a Brazilian bishop for reasons of age; the prelate was succeed by his coadjutor. The Pontiff also appointed a US-born Vatican diplomat as apostolic nuncio in Norway and an Illinois auxiliary bishop as the new bishop of Evansville, Indiana.
