The Eyes are the Window to the Soul
You may recall a magazine from twenty years ago called Regeneration Magazine. It focused on theological matters of interest to orthodox Christians with a distinct Catholic bent. If memory serves I seem to remember one issue in particular that featured photographic portraits of saints contrasted with those of individuals who rejected God and Christianity. This is my attempt to recreate that presentation. The Eyes Have ItJesus speaks of rejecting earthly riches and comforts to serve God and others: "The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be" Matthew 6: 22-23.The saints are truly men and women of heroic virtue who radiate God's love.St. Gemma Galgani, mystic, victim soulSt. Thérèse of LisieuxA young St. Padre PioSt. Teresa of CalcuttaThe following individuals have summarily rejected God and actively opposed or undermined Christianity or Christian values. I'm not saying these individuals are in hell. However, if the eyes reflect the soul then their photos speak volumes.
