Prayer Request

A reader writes:

One of my parish priests threw me for a loop tonight when he asked if I’ve ever considered the priesthood.  The truth is I did, somewhat briefly, a long time ago, but have been very focused on pursuing a family life since then. But as I obviously want to be open to God’s will, I am considering this new possibility even as I think it is not the path for me.  Please pray for me as I discern, and please pray especially that I stay out of my own head as I do so.  Please pray, too, for all other men and women discerning vocations.  Thank you, and blessings and peace to you.

Father, hear our prayer for this man and for all those who are discerning your will for religious vocations–and for lay vocations.  Mother Mary and St. Jean Vianney, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
