“You have to admit that torture foiled terrorist plots”

Not according to the CIA’s own internal documents, I don’t.

The sole “evidence” we have that torture saved us from terrorist attacks is the unsubstantiated lies of the people who stand to gain most from you and I believing them.

But again, that’s entirely secondary.  It’s merely the cherry of lying stupidity on top of the moose turd pie of mortal sin that “prolife” “faithful” Torture Defenders made.  The question will *never* be “Did it work?”  The question wil always be “Was it mortal sin?”  The answer to that question is “yes”.  The fact that in addition to being mortal sin, it was futile, wasteful, destructive, and harmful-to-US-intel-gathering mortal sin is secondary.

The sole way to deal with this now is repentance, confession, and the forgiveness of sin, which God will pour out in abundance if we only ask.
