Originally from Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Stoker Bruenig is a PhD student in religion, politics, and philosophy at Brown University. She earned her MPhil (a British master’s degree) in Christian theology at the University of Cambridge. As a pop writer, Liz has written for the Boston Review, First Things, America Magazine, Salon, The Daily Beast, The New Republic, The Atlantic, Ethika Politika, and many more. She is married to economist and political writer Matt Bruenig.
