Prayer requests

A reader writes:

I would like to ask your prayers for an elderly priest I know who was taken to the emergency room last night. I don’t know anything beyond that at this point, but please pray for a quick recovery from whatever ails him.

Father, hear our prayer for his complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.  Give his caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, creativity, insight, skill, and the proper technology to assist in his healing.  Give him and all who love him grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, love and a spirit of self-sacrifice in union with Christ to offer his sufferings for the good of the Church and the glory if your Name.  Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. John Vianney, pray for him and for all who care for and love him.  We ask this in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Another reader wrote yesterday:

My wife is having scheduled surgery today to fix the arrhythmia in her heart. Very hopeful some new technology will fix it. Pray everything goes well!

Finally, please pray for my friend Mike, who has suffered much and who began hip surgery today at 7:30 AM PST.  Father, hear our prayer for a successful surgery and complete healing through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
