Brick by Brick in Archdiocese of Indianapolis – COMMUNION RAIL ALERT!
I saw a great photo fro Holy Rosary in Indy. A Communion rail is being reinstalled. This seems to be an old photo, from a transition point in their restoration project, but… who cares?
Fr. Z kudos.
I love this photo.
Okay… I officially want to be invited to that parish to say Mass and give a talk. I’m inviting myself to be invited. Cool parish. Look at their Mass line up!
They have confessions before every Sunday Mass and 30 min before each weekday Mass!
As I looked at the parish site with its photos of the church’s interior, it seems that the rail in the photo (above) was a first installation – note that there is dreadful red carpet – and that a different rail was installed after a larger restoration of the church.
In any event, I don’t care which point they are at in that photo… it’s a great photo.
It reminds me of another great moment in the New Evangelization, when Fr. Heilman had the table altar hauled out of church and over to the rectory to be in a house chapel. HERE
New Evangelization, one altar, one rail at a time.
