Abortionist Runs in Chicago Marathon to Raise Money to Stop “Domestic Violence”
Abortionist Virgil Reid ran the Chicago Marathon to raise money for domestic violence. But some may say Reid himself practices domestic violence against unborn children.
On his crowd rise website, he wrote: “This will be my third marathon and my second as a member of the Run DV Out of Town team. As a physician specializing in women’s health and as a board member for CAWC (Connections for Abused Women and their Children), domestic violence is an issue with which I am confronted much too often.”
He added, “At CAWC, like many of the sister organizations within the Battered Women’s Network, we work not only to shelter vulnerable women and their children but also to prevent domestic violence through education outreach to men and boys.”
According to AbortionDocs.com, Reid is employed by a Planned Parenthood facility right outside of Chicago in Aurora, Illinois. However, Reid previously worked at a Planned Parenthood in Kalamazoo, Michigan; and at the Planned Parenthood facility responsible for killing 24-year-old Tonya Reaves during an incomplete abortion in 2012.
As LifeNews previously reported, Reaves died from a hemorrhage during a D&E second trimester abortion in Chicago. Then, in 2013, Reaves family sued the Chicago Planned Parenthood for their sloppy abortion, which resulted in Reaves’ death. Reaves’ mother, Dorsey Johns, said the abortion clinic “carelessly performed” the elective abortion and “failed to properly monitor and assess her daughter’s condition after the procedure.

CBS News in Chicago said the following about Johns’ lawsuit: “The suit further claims the clinic did not do enough to stop Reaves’ bleeding, and that staff members failed to adequately warn an on-call doctor about the potentially life-threatening condition.”
As a result, the abortion giant had to pay a $2 million settlement to the family because of their part in Reaves’ death. It is likely Reaves would have survived if she would have received immediate emergency care and if Planned Parenthood had shared medical information with the hospital related to her incomplete abortion and uterine perforation.
The head of Operation Rescue Troy Newman said the following about the Planned Parenthood involved in Reaves’ death: “We strongly believe that criminal charges such as Depraved Indifference, Criminal Negligence, and Criminal Malpractice are applicable in this case and we again call for a criminal investigation into the death of Tonya Reaves. Planned Parenthood killed her, now they must be brought to justice in a court of law.”
He concluded, “As bungled as this abortion was, we believe Tonya Reaves could have survived her injuries if she had gotten immediate emergency care and if Planned Parenthood had shared medical information with the hospital related to her incomplete abortion and uterine perforation. Instead, Planned Parenthood left the trauma team in the dark to solve the puzzle of Tonya’s injuries while her life ebbed away.”
If Reid really cared about women’s health and protecting them from domestic violence, then he wouldn’t be associated with an organization that continuously hurts them and he definitely wouldn’t be performing abortions. After abortion over 65% of women suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and post abortive women are six-times more likely to commit suicide than women who have given birth. Also, many women describe their abortion experience as ‘a nightmare,’ with 60% reporting that it felt like ’Part of me died.’
Unfortunately, Planned Parenthood specifically has a history of hurting women in botched abortions, stealing money from taxpayer programs and performing abortions on abused minors without parental consent.
