Catholic News Live website redesigned

Catholic News Live has a completely redesigned website!

The website, at http://catholicnewslive.com/, is much faster than the old website, features a dedicated Map page to show Catholic news on a world map, and also updates the news on a much faster schedule.

News used to take up to two hours to show up on the website, and it should now show up less than half an hour from the time the story is posted.

This website redesign will also allow the CNL mobile apps for iOS and Android phones and tablets to download the latest news more quickly. (You can buy the CNL mobile app for $0.99).

The website was rebuilt from the ground up using Drupal 7 for the content management aspects and display of the website, SimplePie for RSS feed aggregation, and Mapstraction with Google Maps for the news mapping features.
